And I Feel Fine

It's late (but most nights this week have been late.) My feet are sore from dancing and blistered from walking. My leg muscles hurt from running. My ears are ringing.

And I am so happy.

Tonight was a rubix cube party, the first I've ever been to, and fantastic fun. University is turning out to be one crazy ride, and I'm loving it pretty much all the way.

So much has happened since I moved in on Sunday, and a complete lowdown is soon to come, as my schedule between now and the weekend is planned to a t.

I had my doubts about the tradition called O Week when it began, but you get into it, meet people, make friends, skin your knees and have a great time.

What university? Did I miss you accepting admission? Should I be reading the blog with greater scrutiny?

How many question marks can I use in a single comment?

And I was so excited when you said "Rubik's Cube Party," cause a party where everyone competes in a Rubik's cube competition sounds fun.

Still, glad you're... um... wow I have a sick mind-- enjoying "O Week," which I swear I know means orientation.

I remember my orientation week... vaguely.

So, again, what uni?

P.S. I know I sound sketchtastic right now, but it's late and I'm going insane thanks to the beast that is statistical analysis.

Sorry.

I think you started reading this blog after I was accepted? Because it was a pretty big deal. Melbourne Uni, btw, is where I'm at and where I want(ed) to go.

Actually, the Rubix cube party works on the princple that you begin wearing six different coloured pieces of clothing (red, yellow, blue, purple, green and white) and throughout the night you swap clothes with other people so that ideally by the end of the night you are dressed in one colour. I suck at rubix cubes because I don't have the patience (or the logical ability.) Are you any good at them? (Ha ha, we might be a nerdy college, but we don't have rubix cube competitions...)

You know I never actually thought of those, ahem, dirty connotations of O week!

Sketchtastic, huh? Great word.

Oh no, I can hear the Backstreet Boys from the college next door (who is having a toga party) and I want to go to bed early...

Woop. I agree! I'm sad that O week is over :( A guy I met last night was like 'uni life is kinda like o week but toned down a lot'. Hmm.

YO JAG (sorry for the abbreviation you know what im like atm btw etc)I'm sorry I got cut off on the phone today - if you haven't quite figured it out: I'm still alive! I got lost soooo many times on that mountain, the aussie bush is so dense and I also got stuck in a tea tree forest. You would have laughed so hard. I hope that you catch up on some sleep and keep enjoying yourself!

OH and you would be so proud, I'm building my procrastination legacy already - even after only one week of classes!
OH and he was wearing a blue shirt! AHHH!
OH and I really should email you this stuff.
OH and I FINALLY updated my blog!

Sara: yes, O week was awesome fun, though tiring. University is sure to be very interesting!

Gemini: I don't mind the abbreviation, I have thought of it myself, and think it is pretty cool that my name can be abbreviated as JAG and my blog (title) as GAB. ;-)
OH and yes I did figure out that you must have lost reception or something.
OH! You have updated! YAY!

Weird-- one of the abroad programs I almost enrolled in would have sent me to Uni o' Melbourne.

Good thing I passed on that one. =P And yes, college is essentially O-week, but with classes messing up all your plans.

Haha, the Rubik's Cube party is a brilliant idea! It's my friend's *surprise* birthday party in like, a week or so, and this was definitely a good idea. What do you say? Could exchanging clothes work with cake and candles?

Drop a tear...: I think it could definately work. I recommend buying second hand clothes - although if you know people, it's easier to get your clothes back from them, but this way it doesn't really matter what happens to them and you can donate them again - and it could also be a great way to dress the birthday girl? boy?; at my friend's surprise 18th in Jan, we played pass the parcel so that we could appropriately dress her for the P theme - you could do the same with six different coloured pieces of clothing.

Hope it works out for you!
