Tomorrow is my last and son of a bitch exam, Democracy. Thankfully, in less than 24 hours it will all be over, but no doubt I shall be sleep deprived (from tonight's cramming) and anxiously packing, but vastly relieved and looking forward to the holidays. Also, my friend's having a housewarming tomorrow night, which will be fun.
While I'm on holiday, I won't be around that much because we only get 500mb of internet a month at home, which is barely enough to be able to breathe in cyperspace, and I know you'll miss me. There will be random posts every couple of days, just so you know I'm still alive, and since you'll all be suffering from withdrawal, check out my photo blog (which will have scheduled updates), or my writing blog, or drop me a line, since I now have email! - justagirl.aus@gmail.com

Look, I'm as much a bleeding-heart liberal as the next college student, but I'm also damn patriotic and I'm actually a fan of American society, so let me make a point.
The craziest, brain-washed, flag-worshiping American yahoo has about the same amount of nationalism as the average, completely normal Chinese kid.
(I lived in China for a bit, so I can make blanket statements like that. =P)
Also, haha, gays don't exist in China... wink wink.
Funny thing is, the word in Chinese for "homosexual" is the same word for "comrade." It means "like-minded person."

Yeah, I lived with a host family in Shijiazhuang, and I absolutely loved it. The people, the (oh-so-alien) culture, and the food... it was amazing.
Though, at times, jarring-- the money I carried around with me in my pocket could have paid my family's rent for a month.
But shit, I could talk forever about China. In Chinese, too! Haha, I mean... such a beautiful, ancient country, with such terrible taste in music. =P
(As you can see, I'm a total Sinophile. I'm probably going to live there for a bit after college.)
I hope you did well on that last exam! ;) Ha ha. Sleep deprivation is qjuite normal for me nowadays. My thesis is like a huge nightmare! :D

You should hear my folks go on about China. It's the most fucking annoying thing in the world; whenever something goes wrong in Australia they're like "WELL, in China, [insert massive lecture on China's superiority here]." Well thanks for that Mum, but you seem to have conveniently glossed over the fifty billion problems with China in your speech. It drives me insane. I find it incredibly hard to be proud of my Chinese heritage sometimes because of the shit that goes down in that country...
