Aloha! (this post is continued as a comment)

Just a brief post from my grandfather's iPhone, the only internet access I have. Yes, my grandfather - the man who took a look at the phone and said "what's SMS?" - has an iPhone. Understandably, however, because he doesn't use mobile phones very much, and if so, only for calling, not texting.

In the meantime, I've been relaxing; sleeping in, eating out with my grandparents (which is so good!), swimming in the pool, hanging out with my cousins. Tonight, for instance, my 18 year old cousin and I have the house to ourselves because my grandparents and aunt (her mother) have gone to a party, so we've ordered pizza and are watching a movie (High School Musical.) Yesterday was Thanksgiving, which was delicious and a wonderful family celebration, even though it was just my grandparents, 2 of my 4 cousins (the other two go to college on the Mainland) my uncle and his sister my aunt (minus his girlfriend and her husband, my other uncle, who couldn't make it.

so the iPhone is being really annoying about blogging, thus I am attempting to complete my post here. I am having such a fantastic time that it's easy to forget I took exams little more than a week ago and that my results come out in just over a month (January 4). My last 3 exams were Design Technology, and on the whole OK. Paper 1 - multiple choice - was supposed to be the most straightforward, but again (like history paper 2) was not so; in fact, it was the most difficult of all the papers. As if anyone knows what metal the first metal bridge was made out of? And who cares? I was really worried about paper 2, because section b is a voice if 3 extended questions in which the last part is an essay question, and you need to be able to answer all parts of one question. Surprisingly, however, and relievingly (did I invent a word there?) it was not too difficult, and section b had a question I was confident I could answer. Paper 3 was not too bad, considering the amount of study I did (or didn't) do. Almost half of paper 3 is an extended response, and the questions seemed ok. But whatever- it's all over now! Finally.
My interview at Melb. Uni college was aldo pretty good, just a chat with the vice principal about myself, what i could offer the college, why i wanted to go there, etc.
Thanks for all your comments, they are lovely to receive while I'm away =) As I may not be able to update for a while (or as frequently as I used to), check out my friend Pepito's blog @ http://verticallymodest.blogspot.com and enjoy! (miss sm, you know this girl, see if you can guess who! Clearly, she too is anonymous.)

Aw shucks Just A Girl! You're advertising for me and I didn't even ask. You are an angel.

However, I must say that your choice of film is truly appalling. I would have expected better from you!

Sounds like you're having lots of fun though. Talk soon,

P

hey. I know, rather shameful choice of film right? But even though my grandmother's tv has almost 2000 channels (I kid you not) HSM was the only thing we could find worth watching. We wanted to watch Georgia Rule, which you had to buy, and for some reason we couldn't. Oh well. =)

I am stumped. Who is this? With such a distinctive list of countries to her back I feel like it's one of those 'I should be embarrassed that I don't know who it is but since I don't know who it is I'm not' things.

DT sounded okay. Paper 1 is worth the least for SL Group 4s so you should be fine :) What are the grade boundaries like for a 7 in DT?

Anyhow, sounds like you're having a great time in Hawaii, soak up some sun for me coz the weather here hasn't been too great lately :P

Just because High School Musical is art doesn't mean I have to like it!

I'm jealous. Hawaii sounds like so much fun. And I agree with Cordie. HSM rocks!

Pepito & Celise: I would say that just because HSM is art (which is contentious in itself) doesn't make it good, but that would be very TOK of me. As it is, I agree with Celise in that it is an enjoyable, feel goid (albeit) predictable movie that is fun to sing along too. Plus zac efron is a cutie =)
Gaby: damn straight I deserved this! ;-) The great thing about it is that I have choices, which I realized when my grandmother today asked me what I wanted for dinner and I said I don't know because I'm not used to having a choice! it is a wonderful thing to have choices; the choice to sleep in, to eat that chocolate brownie, to buy that book, to go for a swim. The answer to all those choices is yes, which why I'm having such a fab time!
Sara: (ha ha, spell check wants me to say SARS!) school is out, and yet you are still concerned with grade boundaries?;-) I think it is about 75-100 for a 7.
