Spapshots of Speech Day Weekend

The dress I wore to Valedictory (a present from my friend):

Someone's shoes from Speech Day, Sunday:

The main quad, where all the yr 12s had to gather in house/alphabetical order before walking into the ceremony, which is beautiful, but made me sneeze as all the trees are in blossom and I get hay fever something fierce:

My friend's plant, Daisy (table decorations from lunch which were being given away - yes, surprisingly for free!) - that is to say, it's not a daisy, but she has called it Daisy:

That dress is gorgeous. I bet you looked great! :]

We have to wear school uniform to our Valedictory. Ugh -_-"

Thanks!

You had to wear school uniform?! That sucks! Was yours at school, though? Ours was at a really nice little restaurant. All the houses went out for dinner, except the boys' house, M, who had it in their Dart Room. But I still don't think they wore school uniform. Maybe they (the boys, I mean) do for house dinner though? (I should know b/c of my bro, but I don't...)

Haven't had ours yet. But yes, ours will be at school... isn't Valedictory a full school event? o_o You guys had it in your separate houses, just the Year 12s?

Ah yes, I remember now. No, our Valedictories were separate house and yr 12 dinners only. I think it's nicer that way - more intimite, just with your friends, and just about the yr 12s.

Yeah, I was talking about it with my sister last night and they do it like you guys at their school. I think it's because our Valedictory is like a combination of your Speech Day and Valedictory, since we don't have a separate Speech Day.

Hey
Ours (though we dont call it Valedictory or speech day) started as soon as we got to school. We had a muck up assembly then a normal assembly were we had to wear school uniform an got our final report cards, did our last roll call then left.
That night we got dressed up an had a formal dinner. It was a mixture of formal an casual dress but was fun as

Last roll call? That's so sad...we don't have muck assemblies or anything like that, but my previous school in NSW does, and I used to always enjoy them in yr 7 & 8, they would be so much fun to do!
Your day sounds pretty much like the last day of my old school, I went to their formal dinner after they'd had muck up and stuff that day. It was the last day of Term 3. It was a really nice night, a whole school valedictory dinner (although there's only about 50 of them - small year group.)

Are you from out of state, then?
