The 11th of November
90 years later.
In Flanders Fields
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe;
To you, from failing hands, we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
In your memory, we live and are ever grateful.

Thats an awesome Quote...!YA..They do live in our memories for ever...
That's a beautiful photo. You know in America they don't do the red flower thing? I think we should.
Rocky: thanks!
Arielle: really? I didn't know that...yeah, I think you should. It's a nice tribute and reminder. People were wearing them in college today. You should protest it or something. ;-) It is a beautiful photo isn't it, sadly not mine, taken at the Canberra War Memorial.

Bah, you beat me with your Remembrance Day post. With the Remembrance Day poem. Hahaha. Mine is probably a bit different though xD
Anyhoo, I am loving this Twitter thing you have on the sidebar. So Facebook-esque! Ha. x
